Let’s head back to 1970 when the Hardy Brothers were enjoying full heads of hair and a cold beer in the lounge room. In a reflective moment, Brian ran a thumb along the arm of the overstuffed wingback armchair he was inhabiting, and ventured the opinion “You know Jeff, I reckon we could make something better. Much better.” Jeff shifted in the couch that was threatening to swallow him (known by the family as The Sinkhole), stroked his moustache and declared “You could very well be right, Brian.” And thus a furniture dynasty was born.

For young Bryce growing up in the newly created Harbro Furniture workshop, the wheels were already set in motion for his future career. Placed in Quality Control from a young age (ok, he spent his childhood jumping in piles of foam, which helped his dad and uncle work out pretty quickly which ones were going to last the distance of family living), Bryce inhaled a great work ethic and high design principles. So, the dynasty continued.
